Tamaris L. M. Henagan is an Associate Attorney at Swistak Levine, PC, where she brings extensive experience in family, criminal, municipal, and cannabis regulatory law, as well as a wealth of immigration knowledge. A skilled and successful trial attorney, Ms. Henagan has built a distinguished career grounded in advocacy, community service, and legal excellence.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management from Ohio Dominican University and her Juris Doctor from the University of Toledo College of Law, where she also received a Certificate of Criminal Law with Honors in 2016. In 2017, she founded Henagan & Associates, PLLC, a firm recognized by U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow for its impact and leadership.

Ms. Henagan has also served as City Attorney for the City of Adrian, Michigan, and is a graduate of the Women’s Municipal League’s distinguished 16/50 Leadership Program. Notably, she holds the historic distinction of being the first African American attorney in Lenawee County, Michigan, a testament to her trailblazing spirit and commitment to excellence in the legal profession.
